Chlorine Activator

Application and Feature

INDION 1495 acts as a chlorine activator and is specially designed broad spectrum biocide for cooling water systems prone to contamination. Indion 1495 is recommended to be used along with chlorine for effective performance at higher PH ranges where chlorination by itself is ineffective. It is also highly useful in systems contaminated with ammonia where againa chlorine has limited effectiveness.

Directions for use

With gas chlorine: Dose INDION 1495 at 0.3 to 3 times the chlorine feed rate. It should be injected into the chlorine eductors power water line at the required rate.

With sodium hypochlorite Dose INIDION 1495 at 3 to 30 times tge sodium hypochlorite quantity . The required quantitities of INDION 1495 and sodium hypochlorite can be mixed and the resultant solution can be immediately charged to the cooling water basin close to pump section.

Limitations and Handling

Harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If material gets on skin, wash with plenty of water. If eyes are affected, immediately flush with water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention. Use protective clothing, gloves and goggles. Wash out empty containers thoroughly with water before disposal.

Storage

Keep container tightly closed and in a cool place.
